Bad Disk?
Mar 4, 2006 10:34AM PST

If this is a(n) hard disk player then check to see if the disk is running by holding the device to your ear while you turn it on you should hear a disk spinning up and then some clicks. If you hear buzzing or no spin-up then you have hard disk failure, contact the maker for warranty information. If that dont work try replacing the disk yourself but this is not reccommended.

well i turn it on and thats all it says that the Hddthing cant be initialized, theres no buzzing or anything. i dont know what could be wrong with it. do u think that the issue might be that i hadnt charged it for like 3 or 2 days and on thursday i charged it so on friday i could listen to it at work and ...when i got there thats the only thing it says.
now in the manual it says that.....to reset it and plug it in..i did that and nothing seems to work. do u think i should contact the warranty people?????????????

I have the exact same problem, if you still have your warranty, I suggest that you return it for repairs.
