Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise. The HDTV is not programmed to be able to send out an audio signal via the USB port.
That said, I suggest you try something that does *not* utilize USB, but instead, some sort of <digital optical out to wireless docking port>. IME those are typically the preferred solutions for wireless headphones. But even those take some futzing around to get right.
hi recently purchased a lenovo w770 wireless headset with a usb dongle thinking foolishly that it would connect simply by plugging in the usb dongle into the usb port and let me enjoy tv sound wirelessly lying in my bed but that seemed an impossible job when i tried doing it as the samsung series 6 tv i have recognised the lenovo head set as a keyboard and cannot hear any sound if i select external speakers
the back of the tv does have 3 -4 usb poert 3 hdmi and an active optical audio out
the problem i have is how to do make the sound transmit via the usb dongle or transmiter ( 2.4 Ghz )
just as you would do in a PC environment
BTW this set works perfect on the laptop but i m sure there will a way out to connect this to the tv pls guys help
