Help choosing router...

Mar 10, 2005 11:17AM PST

Looking for a router to go with an internal wireless intel pro 2915 802.11 a/b/g card. Router will be in basement office of a single story home, but want to reach to opposite side of home (kitchen).

Looking at the Belkin Pre-N router due to reviews and range, but not sure if not using the Belkin card will be a big disadvantage in regards to range. No sense paying the xtra $$ if I can't get the range without the card. Seems like most routers give the same disclaimer...that the range will not be as great without their specific card.

Ease of setup is a big plus too, since my techno knowledge is limited.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.
