Both of the refurbished cameras you mentioned would be fine.
The price seems OK.
As far as the fancy options ... not a problem.
Just leave the camera set on "Auto" and fire away.
My notes show that the shutter lag on the Canon SX100 is 0.6 second,
and 0.2 second on the Sony H10.
For the fastest performance on both, you just frame your shot, press the shutter button half way down and when the action is just right, press the shutter button the rest of the way down.
This will give you a shutter lag of only 0.1 second on either camera.
So it's time to purchase a new digital camera since my Kodak is now broken and I'm looking for some guidence. I have been reading review after review and it really gets confusing.
I would like a good zoom lense but am not sure about all the fancy options you get with some. I mainly would be more of a point and shoot user.
I have found 2 refurbished cameras that seem like a decent deal. However, both only have the screen for viewing and that concerns me some.
They are -
Sony Cyber DSC-H10 for $178.99
Canon Powershot SX100 for $179.
Both come direct from their manufacturer and have a 90 day warrenty. Sony does offer an extended warrenty plan but I'm not sure if Canon does on the refurbed ones.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get the most for my money (like all of us) Also, speed is a concern for me too. Seems like most of the mega zooms are slow.
Thanks in advance.
