Question

Help Choosing Laptop

May 3, 2018 8:51AM PDT

Hello,

Back in the 90's and early 2000's I liked to play computer games. I played Civilization, Heroes of M&M, Age of Empires, Warcraft (not WOW), and Empire Earth. I have been sporadically playing some of these games on my 7 year old desktop using Steam. However, I would like to buy a new laptop that will allow me to play those games, and some newer ones, in addition to surfing the web, paying bills, etc. Nothing too intense. My only want is a 17.5 inch screen and I would like to pay about $600. What minimum specs should I be looking for? Do you have any suggestions on specific rigs that I should buy? Is there a time of year where laptops like this go on sale?

Thanks in advance!
