Help choosing a landscape lens for Canon EOS 7D

Hi there,

I'm brand new to photography and I am getting very confused by all of the information and opinions out there about lenses.

I mainly want to use my camera for sports photography so I am buying a telephoto lens and I also want to photograph landscapes.

I will be buying a Canon EOS 7D as well as a Telephoto lens The EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM

I want to buy one other lens at this stage, a good lens for landscape photography but something that can also be used for just everyday photography.

I doubt that I will be upgrading any time soon to a full frame camera (unless I win lotto!) or buying any other lenses for now so I would like to buy good quality lenses for the camera I have now.

I don't want to buy the cheap lenses so I am prepared to spend a bit of money on a good quality lens (I just can't afford the professional ones just yet!)

I want a lens that has these characteristics:

wide angle
zoom
works in low light
image stabilisation
weather sealed

Can anyone help me choose?
