Question

Help choosing a CPU for my old motherboard

Oct 28, 2018 7:24PM PDT

So i want to, at minimum, play this game that requires a recommended cpu of
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz / AMD Ryzen R5 1500X
And i have an old EVGA x58 1366 Motherboard running with an i7 920 currently (yes my build is from 2010 lol)
This is a list of compatible 1366 CPU i can use r/https://www.evga.com/support/motherboard/legacy/
I have been racking my brain trying to figure out which one is comparable or(preferrably) much better than so I can also play better games and have a smooth run
I have never upgraded an old PC, I have only built 2 fresh ones. I need some real help.
for GPU the recommended is GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
will my motherboard be able to run this?
Also, would it be more beneficial to buy used parts? since I Am only upgrading two things that I need?? cost is dramatically reduced but is it reliable?
Sorry for the noob questions but I am having a hard time and need help.

From my experience, the GPU can be installed on your mainboard, it would be nice if there is first to add more RAM and correct if the use of SSD can improve the performance of your computer

About the best cpu for that mobo is the i7 990x.
It will give you a nice bump in cpu muscle.
Used or new is your call.....check the return policy.

Gpu....yes your mobo will support the gtx 1050 ti.
