Help! camera takes no picture

by saramahz / April 20, 2007 10:25 AM PDT

My Canon powershot sd 110 was working OK(have not used it a lot) till yesterday. It takes no picture and LCD shows some noise with a black background both on Auto and Manual mode. What is wrong with it?

Sounds broken.

Sorry to state the obvious but these cameras have very few items that an owner can replace except the battery. It's next stop is their repair depot.

Your camera is one of the cameras that has a Sony CCD sensor that is subject to failure.

You may be able to get it fixed for free.

Here is a link that covers the subject very well:

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
