Over the past six months, my computer has expericanced a reoccuring issue over the speed of my cable connection. Everytime I reformat my computer the connection opperates at about 1900 KB/sec according to CNET's bandwidth meter. Given one to two months later, the connection eventually falls to 200-300 KB/sec (currently at 1100 KB/sec). I have trying using a multitude of counters, but none seem to work. On my current settings I'm running a, for lack of a better word, barebones internet PC. before hand i had NAV 2004, Zone Alarm, Ad-Aware 6, and Diskeeper 8 PRO. i assumed keeping my computer optomized would do the trick. i even tried internet connection boasters with no succes. does anyone have any ideas? if it helps, i'm using comcast high-speed cable with 3mbs down.
