Help buying compact camera!

Hoping someone out there can help me. I am looking to buy a new camera - to use for family/kids mostly. Just want to be able to get high quality pictures out of it. I plan on spending around $400, give or take a little. I have dont a little research and the following cameras seem to fit my need:

Sony Nex 3N
Fujifilm F900ERX
Samsung NX1100
Nikon 1 J1

Anyone have any insight or other suggestions? I'd appreciate any help!

Well, the first thing you should look into when deciding between interchageable lens systems is the lenses. Does each system have the kind of lenses you need? Can you afford these lenses? Does the entire package (camera + lens (+ flash?) (+ view finder?) (+ etc.) ) meet your needs? i.e. is it still "compact" enough for you?
