Help buying an MP3 Player

I'm playing Santa Claus for myself and trying to buy an MP3 Player for Christmas, but don't know what to buy. What do you more experienced mp3'ers think? The most important thing I'm looking for is a lot of space- preferably 20 gb or up and the ability to charge up without a computer (i'll be away from a computer for awhile and not sure if i'll need to get another accessory to do this). My price limit is up in the 300 dollar range. Any thanks would be greatly appreciated!

most players come with an AC charger, except for ipods
