You may want a Mac.
Bob
I'm looking to make a large computer investment for grad school and beyond. I have budgeted about $3000 for this and would like it to include a desktop and laptop. I plan to use the desktop for home video editing, recording TV shows, music files, and basic internet and word processing. I would like the laptop to be for travel, presentations, music, dvd watching, and internet/word processing. I'm looking for something that will work on a consistant basis and require minimal maintainace and upgrading. A friend has recommended a Powermac with 1.8 dual G5's and an ibook. How would this compare to a similar 2.8 P4 desktop and Centrino 1.6M notebook? How about any other configurations? HELP....
