If it is not your firewall or ADSL modem port blocks, reset your Internet Connection settings...
At the top of your IE browser,
select TOOLS > Internet Options....
@ [General] tab click "Delete Cookies", "Delete Files" (check offline content), "Settings" (change disk space to 20MB); click "OK"
@ [Security] tab, click on "Default Level"
@ [Privacy] tab, click on "Default"
@ [Connection]tab, click on "LAN Settings" (uncheck everything, especially Proxy server). [see note 1]
@ [Programs] tab, click on "Reset Web Settings" [see note 2]
@ [Advanced] tab, click on "Restore Defaults"
Optionally, surf to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and run virus & spy check. [see note 3]
[1] if you running your internet access through a proxy server - do not uncheck Proxy Server.
[2] nothing major, but this option may reset your "personal" program preferences settings.
[3] This process may run for 15min to 2 hrs.
Let me know if this takes care of you...
