Help! Bash.exe has stopped working

hello, this pop up keeps coming up all the time, i tried to defrag clean the reg, run scans both is normal and safe mode i even tried msconfig with no luck. i googled the problem and can't find answers the only thing i know is that i have NOT downloaded cygwin so rule that out. i am running vista 64 bitthank you

For a message like this, defrag doesn't help and registry cleaning (whatever program you used to perform this somewhat dubious action) doesn't help. That's sure. Scans may find it, if it's harmful and you run the right scan. So either it isn't harmful, or you ran the wrong scan.

Now please tell us
a. the full path (folder + filename) of hash.exe on your PC (find it using Explorer)
b. what happens if you rename that file to, say, hash.ixe (in stead of hash.exe) and reboot

thank you first please note it is Bash.exe NOT hash.exe
but i did find it, it is a problem in relation to the prey project i uninstalled and the problem is gone!!!!
