Help Axim x51 bluetooth to 3gprs motorola v3x

Has anybody successfully connected their axim via bluetooth to motorola v3x mobile broandband with three australia. I spent a lot of time on the phone configuring with 3 customer care and in the end it was all working pda and phone communicating, and then a message saying modem not found. I know when I connect to internet with laptop I have to open motorola phone tools and connect to the internet first, if I just open internet explorer I get the dial up connection screen that prompts me to connect and then I get an error cannect. Any help valued
