HELP... Automatic ID3 Tag software/service

by coldfusion--2008 / February 23, 2005 10:30 PM PST

Help... Please...

I have several THOUSAND MP3's that have no ID3 tag information. Trying to manage these with iTunes or even Rio Music Manager is a disaster, with no or random categorization. Is there any software or web based service that will identify a song (I guess using the CDDB or Freedb database) and automatically populate the necessary information??? Other suggestions??

Try Music Match

Music Match will try to to tag you music if you use its Supertagging info. Will not always work but if you know the artist it will get about 90% for you.

Try MediaMonkey. I think I downloaded it from cnet. Works well if you know the artist. You can auto-tag from with the program or auto-tag yourself.
