help

I am running a windows 7 AMD laptop with 4 gb of ram. I can give more information later if needed. right now I am having problems.

my computer loves to freeze up and force me to manually turn it off whenever i click the start menu or even control panel. It freezes if I try to access my files.

Google chrome works for a few minutes before it also freezes up. If I watch a video the flashplayer will freeze up and I have to restart. No new ads and no recent downloads, just random and excessive freezing.

tried downloading malwarebytes but it froze...lol. is there anything I can do or is this permanent damage?

That your computer is clogged up with dust and needs a good cleaning?
That maybe your computers memory is full?
There are many questions that I could ask to try and help, but more details would be greatly appreciated in helping your case of a freezing computer.

But what I know, that the case of a freezing computer might be that your hard drive is failing you and needs to be replaced! but don't replace it just yet till you try all the different solutions!
Clean it, check hardware, maybe try and start it in a safe mode and such.
