can anyone please help me i had ccleaner 5.02 and for no reason it left. so i tried to re-install it but it shows up with a pop up that program files ccleaner64.exe is not found. i have sent an email to the company of ccleaner and have not got any reply. i am using acer aspire e-15 windows 8.1. help me please i miss and need my ccleaner.....

how does that screwup my ccleaner? i put everything into the garbage can not ccleaner. but what you wrote does not help me solve the problem. is there any other programs that you would suggest??

I read some of your prior posts and it appears you are trying to clean too much. To the point you are breaking things. While I think you could reinstall and get it working, it may be you broke it too much and then I'd have to write to use your backups to restore and try again.

In other words, some folk can't be helped as they are not learning the lessons. That is, it appears you are doing damage beyond cleaning.

well all i am trying to do is get rid of GARBAGE that is really of no use. and i have been using ccleaner for years and have one the same as this time and have never had trouble. and i only use it every 2-3 days

ccleaner has registry cleaner

ccleaner also has a registry cleaning feature. it is best to turn it off if you are going to regularly delete temporary files using it. you do not want to mess with the registry too often. you can try doing a system restore to the date just prior to when ccleaner stopped working.

alternative ways...

Did you know windows has its own disk cleaning feature? It is called disk cleanup.

also unless you are doing a lot of installing and uninstalling the only thing you really have to delete is your browsers temporary files. you can so that within the browser settings.
