ell i heard that not turning off your pc will let your pc 'last' more longer, is that true? what kind of pc is suitable for that and what kind is not?

It is a much discussed subject, and you will get all sorts of different answers and points of view.

I always did Shut Down the system and turn off both the PC and monitor, except if my absence was only going to be for a short time.

I still do with this laptop I use now.

You say that you heard that not turning off your pc will let your pc 'last' more longer. Did they say why this lets the PC last longer?

Why do I turn off?

1] Clears RAM

2] Saves electricity.

3] Resets system files and clears out, (mostly) Temp folders.
