Dead on arrival and I think you are telling us it's new. DOA's are usually covered by most stores by outright replacement. Call the place that sold it.

You can hear it power up starting but monitor shows that its in power save mode. The manual suggests that new ones out of the box sometimes ship like that..??...Was hoping for an easy fix rather than hassle of returning the darn thing. Thanks for the suggestion though. That may be next.

The video cable is unplugged. This is why people (incorrectly) say it's in sleep mode.

No, the PC is dead or you didn't set it up yet.

Shipping can be tough on desktops. Let's use a Dell article about what to try UNLESS IT VOIDS THE EXCHANGE POLICY!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
