i have dialup i am trying to find something that will alert me when i get acall i had phonetray but everytime i get a call it disconnectys me it says it doese not detect v92 connection and my isp supports v92.i have windows vista hp pavilion slimline s3100n pc with a pci soft data fax modem that doese not have modem on hold can someone help ineed to no if im getting calls without being disconnected.

V.92 has been around a long time now and I'm surprised it's not universal. I'm going to recommend an external and never a winmodem that uses your processor. I can't recommend a brand today but my old one is a US Robotics Courier that worked great until the local phone company started monkeying around with the copper in the neighborhood. Back then, USR was as good as they got and they may still be in the modem business.
