Hi, I am looking for the following in my laptop for a max. of 1500 $.

Processor: Intel Pentium M -- Min. 2.0 Ghz to 2.13 (I am aware anything more than 2.13 GHz is very costly.)
Memmory : Minimum 1 GB
Hard Disk : Around 100 GB
Display : 15.4 inches widescreen

Basically, I am looking to run my Visual Studio Apps while giving presentations. I will be running my email client, Messenger, Visual Studio simultaneously and I just hate it when it hangs in the midst of presentations. Can anyone help?

Let me know if I am dreaming big or this is possible for 1500 $. Also, Sony, Dell, Toshiba are the preferred choices. I would not mind tha brand so long as they don't let me down while I give presentations.

Cheers, and thanks in advacne for the prompt reply.

I wouldn't go for a Sony. Not that they are bad or anything, but to me, they are just over priced. (You just pay more for the Sony name). For a particular laptop, I would suggest any of the HP brand, like the DV5000, or the Dell Inspiron E1505. Both are mid-Range laptop, and with a few tweeks, can get them at the price range that you are looking for.

Get a dell.

You can spec them up past 2ghz and with 2gb ram.

get a good graphics card also as that helps keep the speed up in windows.

You should also choose one with good battery power and that is light

the M20 is a good choice
