Help

I want to use my Linksys G54 router to transfer files from one WinXP computer to another. I disabled both the "hard wired router computer" and one other wirelessly connected computer. Unfortunately, I forgot to disable the wireless network on the computer that I've moved next to the router that will receive the transfer. I hope this isn't a problem (if it is, do I need to go back to the original location with the monitor and disable it?). I also unplugged the Internet connection from the router.

Yet I'm not seeing the "moved" computer in my other computer's monitor. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm transferring 165 GB and aside from taking so long, I've been having difficulty disconnecting. Any idea why I'm not seeing the other computer, is the fact that the network isn't disabled the problem? Any ideas?

transfering files?

You CAN NOT copy 165gb in one step... Like you said, if you do .. you will get an error .. either too deep or other message.

copy a little by little .. such as 100mb - 300mb...

as for the networking or seeing your other pc... follow the instruction in your other post..
