Be sure to try CHKDSK /F /R /X but in the last year I've replaced a lot of drives that were borderline iffy.
Yes there were some trojans and such but far and above are drive issues here.

does anyone know the best way to solve this type of problem? or how to diagnose this problem? or the most common reasons for why it happens?
