hello plz help

hello i have windows xp pro sp2 and i installed C Media Electronics Incorporation - Sound - C-Media AC97 Audio Device from drivers cd belong the motherboord gigabite p 4 in my pc then i made uptodate to my windows xp system by microsoft windows up to date site and then after i installed the up to date to this sound program i lost the sound in my pc and i reinstalled the same program from the old cd again to make the sound return back.... can u help to up date my system (windows xp pro sp2) without losting my sound ..thanks somaa

built into the motherboard. You need to turn it off in the bios.

Never depend on Microsoft for current drivers.
Go to the Mfg. site and search for the latest version of your firmware.
One other note, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
