Helene Grimaud, French pianist, now living in upstate NY

I've been out of the conventional classical music world for a long time, though that doesn't mean I don't buy the odd disc or keep my ears open. I caught Canada's Lise Doucette who is now a correspondent for BBC doing a quick introduction to Mlle. Grimaud's work, the controversy surrounding her performances (too mannered) as she prepares to play Beethoven's Emperor Concerto (Piano Concerto #5).

I was very impressed by her, and delighted by the fact that at home in rural wooded New York where she takes care of a pack of wolves on her land in her off time.
She is the daughter of Berber (m) and Sephardic (f) Jews.

He also mentioned she takes care of a pack of wolves.

I wonder why he's concerned about that?

Easy enough

What we constantly hear is that heavy metals are so environmentally toxic that they need to be isolated from our standard waste systems. Stay as far away from them as you can. It's just that elementary. Happy
