When he was Governor and DNA testing had started to indicate a meaningful % of prisoners convicted of violent rape were the wrong persons,Mr. Bush said he had 100% faith in the Texas judicial system and therefore would not honor the results of DNA tests espeially for prisoners on death row!

Having to be infallible seems to be part of his personality. A trait some of the posters in this forum seem to share!

This particular accusation is news to me. I recall him saying something like he is sure no innocent person has been executed, but nothing resembling your "quotes".

Paraphrase is not a quote. But he was dead certain that no-one in Texas was ever put to death wrongfully and stated he had absolute trust in the states judicial system in that interview. I am sure you already searched for a link so I wont bother. But what does a link have to do with the price of flapjacks? If you want one I will be glad to set one up for you! But by your own admissions he is an inflexible individual which may or may not be a good trait in a politician!

Do you now retract your initial paraphrase? Please find me a QUOTE from Bush that even remotely resembles:

When he was Governor and DNA testing had started to indicate a meaningful % of prisoners convicted of violent rape were the wrong persons,Mr. Bush said he had 100% faith in the Texas judicial system and therefore would not honor the results of DNA tests espeially for prisoners on death row!

Don't bother. You won't find it. By my admission he is an inflexible individual? I never said any such thing either. What does flexibility have to do with this editorial anyway?

... you attempt to mislead us into assuming Ms. Means is a conservative or at least conservative leaning?

Check out this editorial on Kerry

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., is no extremist. And while his policy positions on the major issues usually tilt liberal, he is not an orthodox thinker. His diverse, evolving 19-year Senate voting record will be hard to nail.

And if that's not enough for you, try here

James J. Kilpatrick and his wife Marianne Means sold 1521 31st Street in Georgetown to Teresa Cudahy. Kilpatrick, right-wing conservative syndicated columnist and Means, longtime liberal columnist, matched right up like James Carville and Mary Matalin

Try again to give Bush advice "from the right"
