Question

hearing assistance for TV

I am hard of hearing and use hearing aids but still have difficulty making out television dialogue. I got a Roku 3 streamer for the earphone jack in their handy remote and those earbuds work great when I am streaming. However with regular ATT Uverse TV I still have trouble hearing and subtitles get in the way of following most shows. I see all these small bluetooth speakers and earphones but have no idea which of these might give me the great results I get with the Roku earbuds while streaming. Any suggestions.

Exact models please. Then we can see what audio transmitters and such can be fitted.

Thanks for your interest. My Uverse box is a Cisco ISB7500 and uses a wireless router also. There are probably lots of choices for dealing with this problem. I am just not very tech savvy about what's out there.

I looked at the back of my CISCO unit and there are indeed jacks for RCA audio plugs and that will probably work. I was hoping for something wireless since my chair is 15 feet away from the unit and the cord would cross through a heavily traffiked route in my den. Maybe I can find some wi-fi or bluetooth earphones. I'll check that out too.

Before we hook up a wireless audio link, we want to see if the outputs are working. There are too many audio senders out there. I can't guess what you have to work with yet.
