Question

Headset mic catches headphone sounds

Aug 23, 2018 1:23PM PDT

Hi all!

A while ago (about 1 year) I bought a Razer Kraken Pro v2 headset. (Before that I had headphones and a seperate mic) But since I have this headset I always broadcast my own sounds (music, youtube, game sound, anything) when in a voice chat program like discord or skype. I've tested the headset, but the problem is only on my PC. So I'm guessing its something software or hardware (motherboard?) thats causing the problem.

I've make sure;
- ' Listen to this device ' is unchecked
- Different drivers aren't the problem (tryed Realtek and Windows standard)
- Tried different cables (This cable has a splitter in the middle)

I've got no clue what to do now. It really annoys me that everyone can hear what I'm doing.

PS1: My motherboard is a Gigabyte B150-HD3P-CF
PS2: My friends say the sound is so clear, its not that my mic actually catches the sounds, but somehow the pc registers my sounds to be played as mic input(?)

Any help is very welcome!
