Headset issue

Hi, I'm partially deaf in my left ear so I can only hear monoural with my MP3 player headset. Is there a way to join the left with the right so I can hear all parts to a song? Or is there an mp3 player out there that the user has control over the audio balance for mono listening. I know IPods do not have that function nor does my Insignia 2Gb player. Hope you can help.

Strereo to Mono Adapter

My friend has this same problem. He got a little adapter into his headphones that convert stereo to mono.

Thanks - I'll give that a try. I had been to Radio Shack once already and the people there were clueless as to what to do. Perhaps your suggestion will work for me.
