Bluetooth may or may not work with TVs. Only the maker can answer at this point. Some Samsungs have no outputs at all. No Bluetooth, optical or analog so without the full model number including the 4 or 5 trailing letters it's anyone's guess what the correct fix is.
On top of that some folk ask this question and leave out a requirement which is also a dead or arrival problem. They want the TV speakers to be left on. Nope. All the Samsungs I know mute the TV speakers when we use optical, headphone jack or bluetooth.
Tell the forum the full model number and if there is that dead as can be requirement.
My 96 year old Father wants to be able to listen to his 40" Samsung "smart" TV using his analog headphones. The HDMI circuits do not support his wish and the only other alternative would seem to be using a "Bluetooth" device to carry the signal to the headphones. If this is the correct fix, please describe the proper "Bluetooth" device for use with his analog headphones. Thank you for your attention to this request. D. Brian Hoffman
