Question

Headphone connections

Jul 26, 2012 3:34AM PDT

I have a Sony KDL 46EX 720 and because of hearing problems I need to be able to use both headphones and set speakers at the same time, can someone please recommend a way of doing this.

Answer
There are very long discussions about this.

It appears that most folk will not want to do what I would do and after LONG discussions the fix that most accept is...

Take the output of the headphone jack to a splitter then one connection is for the headphone (with it's own volume control) and the other goes off to an amplified speaker set.

I hope you understand that this one is well discussed and I'm offering the most accepted solution.

Thank you for your prompt answer, but in the meantime I have found that it is possible to adjust the headphone/speaker system to give the desired results from within the TV sound adjustment menu so that I now have separate volume control for both the HP and the TV as required.
