You have the product so check it's documentation for how they handle repairs. Most of the time the shipping back to the company is more than a new recorder.

Thank you for the info. I have been working on a process to find a solution on how to fix this camcorder throughout the morning. I believe I am getting there with it finally. I did a test today by connecting my camcorder into my computer via usb. The camcorder turned on perfectly fine, then the screen showed "Waiting," and then the picture screen appeared as to take picture or video. This was actually the first time I tried this method. Did not even think to try it this way.
Then, I tested it again by plugging it into a different wall outlet. It turned on with a static type sound and then went to that green fuzzy pixelated screen, like the image I attached in the prior message; and same thing. When I went to unplug it like before, it still makes that loud static sound.
So, I have come to the conclusion that, so far, it is the wall charger that seems to be causing the camcorder to malfunction. Once I have it charged up enough through my computer, I will test it later to make sure it turns on and the features are working on it. I will let you know if the reasons I mentioned are true. Thanks.
