There are no user serviceable parts so try the old unplug all HDMI cables then unplug AC for 10 minute test. Wait, then apply AC and one video source or antenna to retest.
Read the product manual for any mention of resets and try those.
I have scoured the internet and cannot find a solution for this:
We were run over by a severe series of thunderstorms 2 days ago and we turned off our 50" Zenith(made by LG) HDTV, and watched the display natures power. 2 different bolts hit within a few feet of our condo and had our Adrenalin pumping.
Our TV system has a large surge protector on it for such occasions.
When we turned our TV back on, there was a heavy green screen with a heavily blurred "no signal" message moving around the screen..... no sound.
I unplugged everything and reset it all.....no difference.
I changed HDMI outlets.....no change.
Our Wii would play music but offered a blank dark gray picture with no details.
Brought the bedroom TV in and it worked fine........so the feed and the box are OK.
Left the TV on for a while to see if anything changed and after about 5 minutes, it magically turned itself off....?
Our big surge suppressor does not have hookups for the cable which goes through a Comcast box first before going to the TV.
There are a few light red lines which run vertically through the green screen as well......
Any ideas for repair?
Thanks in advance,
Dean in IL
