Please refer specifically to a make/model of an HD tuner or tuners you are referring to. You may be SOL on the new equipment. Most do not offer guides. Internet has take on this role per se.

tv guides in tv
Aug 31, 2015 5:40AM PDT

I know a lot of people that have bought TV that still have guides or
info button on what is playing and what is next. All of the stores I go to have know
information on what there set does. there must be someone that has that info. I am guessing if the can make a new hd tuner and sell them for under $50 dollars that it cant be that big
of a deal to have built into a new TV. I am sure there are Millions of people that still watch
TV with an antenna. I see them on houses ever where. I also talk to a lot of people that are
tired of the big cable bills and converting. I also know that the guides are still on the air waves
for I still use them on my old set with the hd box. Not sure if my question was really clear when I asked it the first time. Thanks Rick

Answer
Here's why the guides died. It was a legal issue.
