if you don't have a cable card slot in the tv no cable card... the point of cable card slots is not box, but most people don't like them becasue you lose access to somethings w/ cable card....

you could get a sling box & if the kitchen tv has an HDMI you can wireless the video from another HDMI HD cable box or computer in the house, but that would cost about $300-500+ too do.
I have a 19" HDTV tv on my kitchen counter. I do not recieve any of the HD channels because we do not have a comcast box attached to it. My wife refuses to put a big box on the counter, I can't blame her. Also, there is a time lag of a second or two between the hd channels and the non-hd channels so if you have both tv's on the same show, one in hd and one analog, there is an echo effect.
I have seen where you can connect a cable card adapter to your pc to pick up hd but does someone make a box for tv's without cablecard slots or cableboxes?
