HDMI trouble

Hi i am of need of some help, i have a samsung tv which upscales to 1080p and have recently purchased a sony s350 blu ray player for the first 3 weeks everything was fine but now my tv is unable to detect the hdmi, i have changed the cable and nothing changed have also tried the blu ray player on another tv and had no problems, can anyone give me any help or suggestions?

try switching hdmi ports...2,3, etc.

tinabarrett1,

You might hook up the Blu-Ray player with composite (red yellow white) and go in to see if the resolution settings have changed. If you set it at either 720p or 1080i, and set the output cable as HDMI, it should send the signal.

Are there any other devices that stopped working with HDMI?

since my last thread my tv has got worse nothing seems to be connecting and all i get is boxes of lines with the occasional sound , so i take it this means i need to buy a new tv already!!!!!!
