Question

HDMI to VGA converter with HD Flow, "input not supported"..

Apr 25, 2017 1:41PM PDT

The sound-booth that I am working has a computer that is connected to a Peerless HDS200 HD Flow Pro. The computer only uses VGA, and so I purchased a HDMI to VGA converter to see if this will allow a clearer image to the tvs that the HD Flows are signaling to. However, my second monitor didn't hesitate to tell me "input not supported." Please tell me how I can solve this.

Peerless HDS200 HD Flow Pro Wireless Kit didn't have VGA.

So I'm guessing you have a dead VGA to HDMI convertor. Back to them to fix this.

I used the converter at home, and it works just fine on an older computer. That what has me stumped!

Had only HDMI so I would be guessing you meant VGA to HDMI. Anyhow VGA to HDMI is fraught with troubles since you must output a compatible VGA signal. This would be documented by the convertor maker and I will not know this.

If you have HDMI to VGA this can be even more troublesome since HDMI has HDCP which must be stripped to convert to VGA. This means that it might work on this PC but not another. The convertor maker knows this. Ask them.
