Supply a link but let it be known that many of these do not work with all cards. This issue has come up many times so I can't add much new except to get a refund for non-working models and try another.
I can not get my hdmi to vga adapter to work on my Intel xeon cpu W3520@2.67 with two AMD Radeon HD5570 video cards. I am running win7 ultimate SP1 64 bit on it. The video cards have three outputs each which are vga, hdmi, and dvi-d. All three work on both video cards because I can plug in the appropriated cable to the video output and plug them into a monitor of the appropriate plug not using any adapters and all three will work. When I then plug the hdmi to vga adapter(CE FC) into the hdmi output I do not get any picture on the second monitor( or projector), but on the "change the appearance of your display" screen the appropriate 2nd monitor will appear and it will be properly named in the dropdown box that lists the displays. There is no signal reaching the projector because the projector says no signal. The hdmi to vga adapter works because it works fine meaning I get a picture on the monitor or projector on my AMD Phenom IIx4 830 processor 2.8ghz model p6620f with a video card of ATI Radeon HD 4200 running win 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit. The hdmi to vga adapter also works on my Toshiba laptop which runs win 7 Home premium SP1 64 bit. The only difference I can find is that the computer that the hdmi to vga adapter does NOT work has win7 ultimate SP1 64 bit and the computers that it works on has win 7 home premium SP1 64 bit. On the "change the appearance of your display" screen I did click on the DETECT button and the appropriate monitor did appear as the second monitor but the was no picture on the second monitor (or projector). Also the vga cable does work also. Does any one have any suggestions on how to get a signal to my second monitor or projector using the hdmi to vga adapter to work as a second monitor on my win 7 ultimate computer?
