I use a splitter when I want to send HDMI video to more than one TV. Here I see one TV. Maybe you have a switch?
If so, be sure that CeC or whatever they call it on TV and devices are disabled.
Everyone,
I have searched on the internet and can't find a solution to this issue.
I have a Vizio 60" SmartTv non 4k, standard 1080p, with 3 HDMI outputs. I originally purchased a hdmi 5 in 1 splitter. There were no problems until for whatever reason my Samsung 4k DVD overrides my cable box. Anytime the cable box port and Dvd port are attached to my splitter with separate ports at the same time, I cannot access my cable, instead its my DVD player only. This was never an issue.
I completed the following troubleshooting solutions to no avail:
I replaced the HDMI wire for my DVD player after I unplugged all devices for a reboot.
I purchased a new HDMI splitter with new HDMI wires.
I rearranged the HDMI cords into different ports on my splitter with both the new and old HDMI splitter.
None of the troubleshooting above worked, please let me know if you have any solutions.
Thanks for your time,
