Question

HDMI signal cuts in and out

by maxcoseti / January 1, 2014 10:26 AM PST

My TV (UN32EH4003 Series 4 HD LED TV) works fine with any hdmi cable when connected to a dvd player, but when I use it with my PC I get signal cuts every 15-20 minutes, It's not the cable since I tried different ones, all from good quality manufacturers, It's not a common problem from the information i gathered, but I'm not the only one having it.
I want to know what could the problem be, thanks

Hi maxcoseti,

Have you tried the PC on all HDMI inputs? Have you tried this PC on another HDMI display?

Regards,

Thanks for the reply.
I've tried all the inputs on the TV, but I don't have another HDMI display at hand, the other monitors/tvs I have are VGA, and work fine with my PC (in case that is somehow relevant), I'm gonna try to get another display to try it.
Another thing I've tried is to change the resolution, frequency and even color density and it keeps happening.
Thanks again and I let you know if it works on a different display (or if it doesn't)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
