vicdaruler,
Welcome to the forum!
When you say "out of the screen", do you mean that it's like the picture is zoomed in? (If so, it may be the setting on the input).
Each input has it's own set of settings. So if you adjust the brightness and contrast on HDMI 1, it will not automatically apply to HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 and so forth.
What I'm guessing is that if you get the settings for HDMI 2 or HDMI3 correct (in that you know the box is capable of sending a proper signal), then hook it back up to HDMI-1 and adjust your picture settings in the menu.
Keep me posted, and let me know if this works.

Hello,
I have the Samsung HP-T4254 42 inch plasma, I also have a PS3 and a Time Warner HD DVR. This may sound like a simple question and please excuse me if I am not explaining this right but why is it when I hook up these 2 devices to HDMI ports 2&3 it gives me a full display as in everything appears within the screen but when I hook it up to HDMI port 1 the full display doesnt appear, for example when my PS3 display comes on it looks like its out of the screen. I tried to manually change the HD settings for the PS3 and it gives me a full display for a few seconds but then automatically defaults back to the old setting where the display is outside of the screen. I thought it might be the cables so I switched them around but they seem to work perfectly on HDMI ports 2&3 but not on HDMI port 1...I plan on adding a Samsung home theater system which has an HDMI port also and I would love it if all 3 HDMI ports functioned the same way...please advise on what I am doing wrong or if I'm not understanding correctly...thanks for your feedback.
