mostlikly that one cable is defective
Hey guys, i am having issues with the HDMI port 1 on this tv. I purchased this TV and bought 2 new Monster 1000 HDMI cables 6metres (paid $300+ each cable). I have 2 sources for HD, my HDDVD (gonna get a bluray soon) and my HDPVR. I have used both cables with different combinations from both sources with HDMI port 2 and 3, and it works great. However, combinations with both cables with both sources on HDMI 1 produces white specs on the screen. So naturally, i figured it was the HDMI port 1 that had the problem. I contacted Panasonic and they sent over a rep who confirmed that indeed my 2 cables worked fine with HDMI ports 2 and 3, but not 1. He used his own cable (a cheap $60 HDMI cable) and his cable worked on all 3 hdmi ports. He stated it is not an issue with the TV, but is an issue with my cables. How is it that my cables work great on HDMI port 2 and 3, but not on port 1...someone please explain
