Hey, thanks for reading my post! Any help will be appreciated.
I'm currently on Windows 10 x64.
A10-5800k 3.8 ghz processor
2x4 ddr3 (8gb) of ram
XFX R9 Radeon 280x
60gb SSD with OS
1TB hdd for storage.
So I just upgraded from my Biostar TA75MH2 mobo to a A88X-Pro--which is the biggest change before things went wonky.
Previously, I was using my old motherboard with all the same parts. And I hook it up to my Vizio M Series 4k TV via HDMI. It all worked GREAT previously. No problems connecting to the TV ever.
Now, since I've switched mobos (I also reformatted both drives completely) and reinstalled windows, the TV is having issues. First it booted up normally, went through the bios and made it to the desktop....but as SOON as I installed the AMD catalyst drivers, the screen flickered, went black, and displayed no signal about halfway through the installation.
Since then I've hooked it up to a generic monitor VIA DVI cable. And it seemingly works fine....
I've played with the refresh rates and resolution settings, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Every time I start the PC, it'll get thru the POST and then show the swirly circle under the windows logo....then no signal. I REALLY just wanna get this TV up and running.
I admit I am not anywhere near as savvy as I should be with this stuff and my friend helped me with most of the switching.. but now he's at a loss with this situation.
Please HALP lol. Also i'll provide any more info if needed
