HDMI hookup on HP-T4254 / Verizon - Signal Not recognized

Oct 29, 2008 3:29PM PDT

Since I started using the Verizon HD DVR receiver I have had problems with the HDMI connection dropping out and the screen says - Signal Not recognized. Have upgraded to high quality cable with very little imrovment. I had Verizon send a new receiver and have still had same issue. Verizon says there is an update that Samsung has but I have already updated to latest firmware with no improvement. Is there anything else I can do?

Service...

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your picture.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the board needs to be replaced. The best option if the latest firmware doesn't work is to give our service department a call.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Beware- Fios may break your Samsung LCDTV
Mar 1, 2009 1:33AM PST

The Verizon Fios tech hooked up moto stb to my 37" samsung LCD the HDMI ports on the TV stopped working. Argued with fios tech for 2 hours about this, finally asked him to leave. Called Samsung and they said Fios is causing problems with their HDMI ports. Samsung replaced board and updated firmware. Everything was OK for a month but all of a sudden the stb box won't show on the TV throguh HDMI. I switched to component, have a picture but no sound? Fios salesman never told me that their service didn't work with my samsung LCDTV. Fios is trying to ignor the problem. Beware- Fios will ruin your Samsung LCDTV, stay far away!!!
