Question

hdmi connected computer monitor off color

Mar 19, 2018 6:26AM PDT

I have new 24 inch lcd monitor connected from my laptop HDMI port to the monitor's HDMI port. The problem i have is that the display images/screen is off color, in that the blue in the Windows 7 desktop theme is much more to the greenish side.. I have done calibration, and other adjustments in the nividia control panel and other graphics options. This hold true for whatever is on the screen. My other monitor connected to my laptop is thru VGA, and the color is correct. I connected this new Sceptre monitor to my other Windows 10 desktop via the HDMI port with the same result.. I understand this may have something to do with HDMI outputting as TV, rather than computer. Is what I am seeing normal behavior and is there any remedy for this?

Doesn't look right. Find a friend with a HDMI monitor and compare his screen with yours, both with your laptop and with theirs.
Or let it do in the shop where you bought this monitor. Then they fix it, or you can return it and replace it with a better one.

Looks like it's time for a calibration system.
