HDMI cable

I just purchased a new blu-ray player and a new AV receiver that both have HDMI 1.3 connectivity. My HDTV has HDMI connectivity which I belive is HDMI 1.0.

Will I be missing anything if I use the 1.3 HDMI able to connect the blu-ray and the receiver and then a 1.0 HDMI to connect the receiver to the TV?

Hope this makes sense. I'm new to this.

nope, you will be 100% perfectly fine

the 1.0 vs 1.3 rating for cables only has to do with rated bandwidth. you will be just fine, unless you are talking about 50 ft lengths, then id see if i could get a 1.3 cable. 3-6 ft? dont worry about it, dont look back.

good to hear

That's good to hear. I had been reading that HDMI 1.3 was necessary to get the full HD audtio, but assumed if that were true, there would still be a 1.3 HDMI cable to the receiver.
