Question

HDMI 1 port gets no signal. Other 3 work fine?

Jul 21, 2015 6:07PM PDT

While the family and I were on vacation there was a lightning storm. My home took a lightning strike. At least I think that's what happened. We came back from vacation and the DirecTV receiver was not working along with the Century link wireless modem. Also the HDMI 1 port on my new Samsung TV not working. DirecTV and Centurylink replaced everything on their end and that's been fine but the HDMI 1 will not work. The other 3 ports are fine but HDMI 1 just will not pick up a signal. I replaced the HDMI cable and most everything else. What should I do?

Answer
Sounds like it needs repairs.

The usual for me is to unplug it all, remove power and wait 10 minutes then apply power, then test that one port again. If it's still failing arrange for repair.

HDMI 1 Not Working

Thanks for the help. I did exactly what you said a couple times yesterday before I posted. Also did a deep reset on it. Nothing. Your prolly right. I'll have to get it repaired or just buy an HDMI splitter. Thanks again.
