just have a quick question. my laptop has a 5400rpm 500gb hdd. how much more will my performance enhanced if i got say a 7200rpm hdd and or a sdd.

Let's say the seek time is no better on the 7200 RPM.

Then the gain is miniscule. Only in benchmarks.

As to the SSD, the machine will run no faster. A computation will take just as long so no faster. But it should boot faster. Let's see if anyone did that test?
