HD Video for Youtube!

Mar 8, 2009 12:24PM PDT

I am a vlogger, not famous or anything. Just enjoy doing it as a hobby. I currently use My iSight (Webcam On Mac) for my vlog, but would like to invest in a HD camcorder. I have been looking into them, but as the fact I have no experience with them, what is the best suggestion for a HD video camera for it. Would the Canon Vixia HG20 be over kill. Or would the Flip MinoHD be plenty?

Honestly, I am in the same boat. I have been wanting to start reviewing stuff for youtube and my point and shoot camera blows for video. I toyed with the idea of something simple like a flip, but in the end decided it's a lot better purchase to spend the couple hundred extra and get something that will be a lot better down the road, and something that has more uses.

You might also want to look into the new flash base cameras canon is going to start selling in the US in the next two months. I don't know if you can wait that long or not, but they seem to be worth the wait.
